To begin with, I’ll outline the pros of the Ciarra sparkling water maker. The pros include its sleek and attractive design, and the convenient handle that makes sparkling water easy. The main reason I purchased this machine was its ability to frizz anything in it and create ready-made drinks without needing to add ingredients after carbonating the water. I carefully read the instructions in the included booklet and tried to follow them meticulously to avoid any mishaps or leaks.
However, my first attempt resulted in a complete mess. The juice leaked out of the bottle, so I removed it and tried tightening the cap again. Unfortunately, the same issue persisted, with leaks all over the place.
To be honest, with three presses, the carbonation level was extremely strong and lasted for the entire second day. On my second attempt, I decided to carbonate the water without adding any other ingredients. This time, the result was outstanding: no leaks, no issues at all. I then added the ingredients after carbonation.
I suspected that the cover wasn’t locked correctly the first time, which caused the leak. So, I decided to carbonate another time with the added ingredient, but I made sure not to overfill or underfill the bottle. Unfortunately, the bottle still leaked.
I watched a video demonstrating the method of making sparkling water and noticed discrepancies between the manual instructions and what I had read online. Despite these issues, I still like this machine and find it unique and different from other brands. I don’t regret buying it, but I wish it could carbonate water without leaking and causing a mess.
Regarding durability, I’m not certain about that. I can’t say anything definitive, but I hope it lasts as long as my older machine did. The price was reasonable, and it doesn’t take up much space on my countertop.
