I was in the midst of a kitchen remodel when we found that the hood vent we ordered didn't fit (opening ended up being slightly less than 30"). Thank heavens I found Ciarra! Their 30 inch hood specs said it was 29 1/2" and the specs were accurate (which I have not found with other brands).
The hood vent arrived very quickly, was in perfect condition, looks beautiful, and the installation was a breeze. My big test was browning hamburger and, much to my surprise (I shouldn't have been!) my house did not smell like hamburger .... and I'm using the recirculation option (not vented outside). Their filters work very well! I'm very, very happy with my Ciarra hood vent.
