FAQs

1. Is this a good fit for my everyday kitchen?
The 30-inch design combines four induction zones and downdraft extraction for everyday family cooking. It suits a range of kitchen layouts, provided the countertop, cabinet and ventilation requirements are met.
2. Can it replace my current 30-inch cooktop?
Not automatically. “30-inch” describes the size category, not a universal cutout. The cooktop measures approximately 30.31 × 20.47 inches (770 × 520 mm) and requires a 29.13 × 19.29-inch cutout (740 × 490 mm). Have your installer check the opening, cabinet space and required clearances before ordering.
3. How much extraction can I adjust while cooking?
Choose from four regular fan speeds plus Boost. Airflow reaches approximately 230 CFM (390 m³/h) at the highest regular setting and 289 CFM (491 m³/h) in Boost. Actual extraction performance depends on the installation, cookware placement and selected setting.
4. What is Plasma⁺, and how does it help with cooking odors?
Plasma⁺ uses electrical ionization alongside filtration to help treat odor-causing substances in the extracted air. Built into the appliance, it adds an air-treatment stage to help reduce lingering cooking odors. It does not guarantee complete odor removal.
5. How do I choose between the 30-inch and 36-inch models?
Choose based on installation fit, kitchen proportions and the prep space you want to keep. Both sizes offer four cooking zones and a left bridge for compatible longer cookware, so the 36-inch model is not an upgrade in zone count or left-bridge functionality.
6. What filters does it use, and will they need maintenance?
The configuration includes a Plasma⁺ system and an Ultra filter. Follow the model-specific instructions for cleaning, inspection and replacement. Plasma⁺ does not mean maintenance-free operation.
7. Will I still have storage below the cooktop?
The appliance body is approximately 7.87 inches (200 mm) high, but this is not the total installation space required. Ventilation components and clearances also take up cabinet space. Drawers or shelves may need adjustment—check the installation drawing before planning storage.
8. What installation costs and electrical requirements should I plan for?
Ask your installer for a quote covering any countertop alterations, cabinet adjustments, electrical work and ventilation parts. The appliance is rated for 240V, 60Hz, with a total rated power of 7,165 W: 7,000 W for the induction cooktop and 165 W for the extractor. Have a qualified electrician confirm the supply, circuit, protection and wiring requirements using the U.S. installation instructions for this model.
9. What cookware can I use, including on the left bridge?
Use flat-bottomed, induction-compatible cookware, such as cast iron or suitable magnetic stainless steel. For the left bridge, use compatible longer cookware that spans the linked zones as shown in the manual. Check the recommended cookware dimensions and placement; a longer pan is not automatically suitable for induction or bridge cooking.
