The Nosh oven works really well as an oven or a steam oven but It does not perform so well as an Air Fryer. Even at 425ºF the items do not brown or crisp like many other Air Fryers that only have 390ºF for maximum temperature. Although it has an Air Fryer mode, it Does NOT come with any air fryer basket or tray or anything for air frying. The steam mode works well but the bottom pan blocks the steam as it sits directly on the steam chamber on the bottom of the unit. So if you steam cook it is best to remove the bottom pan and let all the food juices, grease and fat run to the bottom. As a little oven to heat up quickly and cook a few cookies or a mini pizza it works really well. Cooking mini potato au gratin also worked well for baking vs air frying. Cooking chicken thighs in baking mode also worked better than air frying and also took longer than other air fryers. I would say that if they could get the air fryer to perform like every other air fryer on the market then this could really be a superb product to bake, steam and air fryer. The self cleaning feature is very unique and a plus but not enough to over come the deficiency of air frying and replace an air fryer. The Our Place air fryer/oven performs much better as an all around oven, air fry and steam. The Nosh has better steam than Our Place Oven and a lower max temp of 425ºF vs Our Place 450ºF that can also broil but does not have a steam self cleaning feature. The tray sizes are odd and very difficult to find a air fryer tray or a baking pan. Our Plan Oven has accessories available to purchase for lots of user needs including a non stick non toxic ceramic baking tray, muffin pan and baking pan. Ciarra Nosh customer service was quick to reply but they said no replacement parts like bottom pan or any accessories were available.
I love the steam clean feature and steam cooking. However, I am very disappointed in the air fryer feature, it just does not compare to my previous Ninja air fryer where foods came out crispy and nicely browned. I've gone ahead and re-ordered a new Ninja air fryer. The oven is also very, very small. I had hoped I might be able to use the steam bake feature for bread, but the oven is just too small.
This oven is adorable and functions excellently! I enjoy steaming my vegetables, baking healthy desserts, and making apple chips. The quality is outstanding; initially, it may seem small, but it works perfectly.
